  It is what is, a 5 & dime. These kinds of stores are deliberately antiquated, & one walks in more for the old style experience. It has a better variety than your typical dollar store, but if you buy the same types of things that you would find at the dollar store, of course you're going to pay a slightly higher price for its location. But they also have ubiquitous tourist trap kinds of souvenirs, beach clothes & suits, tons of kids toys, a huge beach hat selection. I'd skip the soda fountain bar, there's a reason they died out.
